Pacific Crest Trail North to Snowy Lakes

For a Fabulous 4 days in August

This trek starts at Rainy Pass, Pacific Crest Trail North trailhead off the North Cascade Hyway, 4500 ft. elevation. Three
drainages are traversed on this spectacular section of the  PCT. The first 5.5 miles travels through forests and increasingly
open meadows to Cutthroat Pass, 6300 ft elevation. From here we follow the Crest of the  Cascades  4 miles to a meadow
camp 1/2 mile from Snowy Lakes. and the surrounding peaks. We camp there 3 nights and return on the fourth day.  So
much to see and do you would never want to leave.   The snow melts late in this area and usually isn't available until August.
